The Challenge

When the decisions are difficult, the process shouldn't make them harder.

Two cups of coffee steaming side by side on a table in soft morning light

What happens to the house? How will you divide your finances? What will parenting look like when you're living in two different homes?

Whether you're preparing for divorce, navigating separation, or revisiting an agreement that no longer works, these decisions can feel overwhelming—especially when communication is already difficult.

Mediation gives you a place to work through disagreements with the guidance of a neutral professional, so you can focus on finding solutions instead of having the same conversations over and over.

Because the time, money, and emotional energy you spend resolving these issues matter. So does your future.

Why Mediation

You have enough to deal with. Resolving these decisions shouldn't make it harder.

01 Cost

Worried about how much this will cost?

When every disagreement requires another exchange between attorneys, legal fees can add up quickly. Mediation gives you a way to work through decisions together with professional guidance, potentially reducing the expense of prolonged negotiations.

02 Delays

Afraid this could drag on for months?

Waiting for responses, revisiting the same disagreements, and struggling to make progress can leave your life feeling on hold. Mediation brings the important conversations into focused sessions where you can address unresolved issues directly.

03 Difficult Communication

Tired of conversations that go nowhere?

It's difficult to reach agreements when every discussion becomes an argument. A neutral mediator helps keep conversations productive, ensures both people have an opportunity to be heard, and guides the discussion toward possible solutions.

You don't have to agree on everything before mediation. You just need to be willing to work toward an agreement.

Frequently Asked Questions

A few things you may be wondering.

Do we have to agree on everything before mediation?

No. You can come to mediation with unresolved issues. Both parties simply need to be willing to participate and work toward possible agreements.

Is mediation less expensive than hiring attorneys?

For couples who can reach agreements, mediation may reduce the amount of attorney time needed for negotiations and some of the expenses associated with prolonged litigation. The actual cost depends on your circumstances, and independent legal advice may still be valuable.

Do we still need attorneys?

You can participate in mediation without hiring attorneys to represent you throughout the divorce or family matter. However, mediation does not replace legal advice, and both parties are encouraged to consult independent attorneys when appropriate.

Can we mediate if we have children or property?

Yes. Parenting arrangements, financial support, property division, and debts are among the issues that can be addressed in family mediation.

Can we use mediation if we're already divorced or were never married?

Yes. Family mediation can also help parents and former spouses work through disagreements involving parenting plans, time-sharing, child support, and proposed changes to existing arrangements. Some agreements may require court approval to become legally effective.

What if we can't reach an agreement?

Mediation doesn't guarantee an agreement. If some issues remain unresolved, you can explore additional mediation, legal advice, or other appropriate options.

Do you offer virtual and in-person mediation?

Yes. Virtual sessions are available throughout Florida, and in-person mediation can be arranged based on location and availability.

How much does mediation cost?

The cost depends on the services needed. During your free consultation, we'll discuss the process and pricing so you can decide whether it's the right fit before making a commitment.

Before you spend more time, money, and energy trying to resolve these decisions, let's talk about your options.
